A graduate from the University of Ottawa with a Masters of Music (MMus) in Voice Performance, soprano Terri-Lynn Mitchell enjoys teaching music to students of all ages. Terri-Lynn offers a wide range of services including voice, piano, music theory and music history lessons. March 2017 took Terri-Lynn to Saskatchewan to adjudicate the vocal portion of the Weyburn Music Festival.
Terri-Lynn has studied in Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the United States. Past roles include The Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte (UOttawa Opera), Ida in Die Fledermaus (UOttawa Opera) the title role in Gisela in Her Bathtub (UWOpera) by Neil Weisensel. In the realm of musical theatre, Terri-Lynn has performed Maria in The Sound of Music (YRHS) and reimagined the role of the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz (YRHS).
Terri-Lynn spearheads “Paint Your Music” sessions with children, adults and singers. In 2017 she held these sessions at retirement homes and Music and Beyond’s Family Music Expo.
