Alcorn Music Studios is delighted to offer this excellent and unique childrens music course. This program integrates the essential elements of music into an hour of songs, movement, melodies, notes and rhythms. Children sing, clap, jump, dance and colour as they learn how to play the xylophone, read music and understand rhythm. Xylophones have the notes arranged in a similar manner to a piano keyboard. This is the best first step into formal music lessons that we have found and we are super excited to offer it!

This course is presented in French. The class size is limited to four students between the ages of four to seven years. The small class size enables the teacher to give personal attention to each student. The program is approximately 23 weeks beginning in the fall and ending in the spring.

The xylophones (chromatic melody bell sets) are perfectly tuned electronically and are made from a resonant bell metal alloy. Each bar is firmly attached to the wood mounting block. Bars are engraved with note names. One pair of mallets is included with each set.
Xylophones can be rented from us or a new one purchased through us (recommended).

There are two books required for this course;  a music instruction book with CD and a music activity book. Total cost of $35.
