He is ready to work with you whether you are just starting to learn the beginner basics or are ready for the challenges of digging into the grooves of the real deal Latin and funk, or want to learn how to change it up rhythmically.
Frank Martinez Nodarse is a Cuban drummer and percussionist. He specialized in percussion when studying music at school in Havana Cuba and continued his studies at the conservatory Amadeo Roldán of Havana. While there Frank studied timpani, marimba, vibraphone, xylophone, snare, timbales, congas, batà drums, drums and bongos.
After 4 years Frank received a Bachelor of Professional Musician and Professor of Percussion. Next Frank studied at the University of the Arts of Cuba (ISA), to obtain a Degree in Percussion. While studying at the University Frank began his professional career playing with vocalist Frank Delgado and performing shows with the company Opera of the Street. Frank toured Cuba and Canada with Opera de la Calle and subsequently Frank moved to Ottawa.
Frank continues to perform and record with a variety of bands in Ottawa, Gatineau, Montreal and Toronto such as Fiesta Cubana, is a group of Cuban music led by the pianist and composer Miguel de Armas, Latin Breeze, Uno Band, Ottawense Band, The Cuban Martinez Show, Timba MM, and Changüí Habana.
