Angie Russell Guitar (rock, pop, blues) Voice
Angie ensures her students are learning to their full potential in an enjoyable, positive environment. Angie has been teaching guitar and voice for over ten years. She studied music at the University of Ottawa and has her B.Mus. in vocal performance.
Angie's voice lessons specialize in blues, soul, and rock pop styles, all grounded with solid vocal technique from her education in classical voice.
Angie teaches beginner to intermediate guitar students, specializing in rock and blues interested in coordinating guitar and voice.
While in University she performed lead roles in various operas including, Rosalinda and Adele in J. Strauss' "Die Fledermaus", Frasquita in Bizet's "Carmen" and The Queen of the Night in Mozart's "Die Zauberflotte". She also performed in Messsiaen's "Trois petites liturgies de la divine presence" at the NAC. Angie is not limited to classical styles and sings with her rock band Bluestone.
For students interested in songwriting techniques, and learning how to coordinate playing guitar and singing, Angie is an encouraging teacher and role model.
