Our Policies
All lessons and courses are paid in advance; this reserves your lesson day and time. ~ you may pay in full at the beginning of the session. ~ or with post dated cheques or credit card for the beginning of each month. ~ we accept Debit, Visa, MasterCard, cheques or cash.
Lesson packages are non-refundable.
There is a $30 charge for returned or dishonoured cheques.
There is a minimum 24 hour cancellation policy otherwise you will be charged for the lesson. You can cancel twice, with 24 hours notice per session and we will add the missed lesson to the end of your lesson package. After two cancellations you will be charged for any further missed lessons. Please be aware this policy is in place to safeguard our music Teachers, missed lessons mean missed income.
When a minimum of 24 hour notice for a lesson cancellation is not received you will be charged for the lesson.
When the teacher is absent and a substitute
teacher is not available, another lesson will be added on. Our teachers are performing musicians and from time to time they may need to cancel a lesson. The cancelled lesson will be added on to the end of your lesson package. |
FALL 2011 Lessons Prices
Registration Fee ~ $25 All students will receive a custom Alcorn Music Studios binder and notebook. This fee also covers the cost of any music copies and/or CD's you may receive. Families will be charged $25 plus the cost of a binder for each member.

Beginner/Intermediate Student Prices:
1/2 hour lessons, one lesson per week
40 weeks September 2011 to June 2012 price $920 - Payment in full or monthly payment of $92. price per lesson - $23.00
20 weeks September 2011 to January 2012 or February 2012 to June 2012 price $480 - Payment in full or monthly payment of $96. price per lesson - $24.00
12 weeks starting anytime price $300 - Payment in full or monthly payment of $100 price per lesson - $25.00
1 hour lessons, one lesson per week
40 weeks September 2011to June 2012 price $1800 - Payment in full or monthly payment of $180 price per lesson - $45.00
20 weeks September 2011 to January 2012 or February 2012 to June 2012 price $940 - Payment in full or monthly payment of $188 price per lesson - $47.00
12 weeks starting anytime price $576 - Payment in full or monthly payment of $192 price per lesson - $48.00
Intermediate/Advanced Student Prices All lessons with Tim Bedner, Elise Letourneau & Nicholas Dyson
1/2 hour lessons, one lesson per week 12 weeks $330 - Payment in full or monthly payment of $110 price per lesson - $27.50
1 hour lessons, one lesson per week 12 weeks $660 - Payment in full or monthly payment of $220.00 price per lesson - $55.00
Preview Lesson and Drop in Lesson Prices: Preview lessons are an opportunity to sample a lesson and meet with the teacher. Drop in lessons just call us for an appointment. Prices same as our 12 week price

Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced? If you are unsure whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced student our music instructors will be happy to assess you at the first lesson. Generally grade four or five Royal Conservatory of Music or Conservatory Canada will be considered intermediate. Grade 6 and above will be considered advanced as well as students preparing for University auditions, studying composition & theory at the University level.
