Her teachers include Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist Janet Lawson; Anne Peckham, whose books and DVD's are published by the Berklee Press; Bob Stoloff, who has appeared internationally with Bobby McFerrin's Vocal Summit and is the author of "Scat!" : Vocal Improvisation Techniques"  and "Blues Scatitudes"; Jerry Tolson, who has worked with artists as diverse as the Temptations, the Four Tops, Phil Wilson, James Moody, Kevin Mahogany, and Benny Golson; and Roland Wyatt, vocal coach to the Manhattan Transfer.

Her recordings include a CD of jazz standards and poetry called "Pas de Deux" with pianist Harry Pickens, and a CD of original songs entitled "I Will Sing for You", both on the Peace Cafe Records label.

Elise is the co-author of "The Stage Fright Handbook: A Musician's Guide to Surviving Performance Anxiety and Overcoming Nervousness". Her articles about singing and songwriting have appeared online and in print, and her music has received airplay in Pennsylvania and Canada.

Currently, her creative work includes composing for an album of solo voice works, as well as choral works incorporating the poetry of Emily Dickinson.

Elise was selected for inclusion on the Pennsylvania Performing Arts on Tour artist roster. She has taught classes and presented workshops at Duquesne University, Carnegie-Mellon University, the Community College of Allegheny County, The Pittsburgh Eye & Ear Institute, and for the Pennsylvania Music Teachers' Association.

In addition to songwriting, Elise composes and arranges choral and piano works, pieces for flute choir, and her commissions include music for dance productions, commercials, and cable TV. She has worked as a staff vocalist, recording commercials for a jingle production company.

Elise is the founder and director of Grace Notes, a service organization that brings one-on-one music performances to the terminally ill and dying, concerts to under-funded public schools, and brings music to groups of people who cannot attend concerts without physical difficulty.

She has an active performance schedule and has performed throughout the mid-Atlantic region of the United States and throughout Ontario. The Elise Letourneau Duo can be seen in performance at Café Paradiso, Vineyards Winebar & Bistro, and the Roses Café.
